Beneflint: A relief effort from Indy to Flint

Beneflint: A relief effort from Indy to Flint

Our neighbors in Flint, Michigan are in the middle of a water crisis and they need our help.

We’re are excited to be a part of an upcoming event called #BeneFlint. Indianapolis businesses, musicians, and artists are banding together to make a difference.

Indianapolis musician Kyle Perkon (drummer for Veseria) gathered up some friends in the local music scene, including us, to see what could be done to help the residents of Flint.

And boy did Indy respond to the need.

This Saturday (Feb. 6th) from 2 p.m. – 11 p.m. BeneFlint Music Festival will be held at Fountain Square Brewery. The event features 12 live bands, tons of local art, and a silent auction (including a six art print set by Arin).

Admission is $5, one gallon of water, or a case of water.

All water will be taken to Flint residents in need. Monetary donations go to the United Way of Genesee County and will be used to help with the water crisis.

You can see a detailed article about the event and the back story from Sky Blue Window.

Check out the Facebook event with all the show details.

Donations can also be made directly to www.unitedwaygenesee.org.

We’ll see you Saturday!
